Christine Morrison, Board Secretary and Parent Member - It has been an honor and a privilege to be part of the organizing group that came together and began the process of starting Level Up Academy. My family and I have lived in the White Bear Area since 2001 and have grown passionate about serving our community through volunteering in our children's schools and getting involved in leadership that supports public education. I am passionate about personalized learning as I see the potential for ALL students to reach their maximum potential. It has worked for my children, that are two different learners and I see the confidence that has grown in both of them. I have spent several years attending seminars, reading every article that Google alerts sent me about blended/personalized learning, and talking to parents to educate them on the potential that is out there for their student! EVERY child deserves a personalized plan. Not just our special learners! I am happy to be serving our students of Level Up and bring my background as an Educational Assistant, Paraprofessional, webmaster, communications liaison, and small business owner to the leadership of the Level Up Academy Board.
Jennifer Squires, Educator Representative – Jennifer has taught elementary education for five years. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from St. Cloud State University. She has taught Kindergarten, Third Grade, and Title I. She loves to watch children learn and explore through creative ways and is excited to join the Level Up Academy team.
Jennifer enjoys spending her summers with her two teenage children and her husband. She loves crafting and exploring new places with her family.
Jenelle Nelson, Chair - Friends of Level Up Academy, Ex-Officio Board Member
I am the mom of five awesome kids and now serving you on as the Friends of Level Up President! I am very excited that all of you make LUA feel like our second home, where everyone is welcome, comfortable and knows each other's name. I love Hot yoga - You will find me at there a few times a week!
I love being outdoors in all ways: gardening, painting and learning how to knit from my daughter Lexie, a 6th grader at LUA. We have a very active family! Our son, Sorren is 6 and is also at Level Up, Daphne is 14 and Sophia is 4. Henrik our 2 year old makes time in the Odyssey together very sweet. I am always up for pioneering new adventures and I welcome you to join me on this one together!
I feel very privileged to be part of the first charter school in the White Bear Lake area and believe our school has THE leading edge with teacher driven classrooms, personalized learning, and powerful educational technology tools that set the pace for our young scholars. I'm grateful to have my children in a small, forward thinking, and loving school.
P.S. We love snow!

Parent Meet Ups:
Join us at the new Caribou down the road from the school on County Road E, Wednesday mornings 9-10am for coffee/tea. Grab your Java and say "Hi"! Let's get to know each other, knit (or not!), laugh, relax and chat live in person! :)
Friends of Level Up Academy task list:
Sign up to support other parents that have volunteered to lead! We're hoping for a spring fling carnival and need a chairperson and support crew. Please consider joining them as a support person! These are fun jobs and mean so much to or school.
Upcoming Immediate Needs:
Boxtops first batch due the first of November . It's easy and we basically just need someone that can run a classroom contest or some fun promo to get kids to bring them in. Last year, we only did one collection and received over $130 for our school! We will support
and train anyone interested!
Scholastic Book Orders:
Would love to get these started for the year as well. Again, you will be trained and it's minimal!
