3-8 grade students who love to write, interview, create, and lead may join the LUA Newspaper Club. Members will contribute to all parts of the paper from writing to editing and distributing. We are happy to support this club, an idea of an LUA fourth grader! This club will meet twice a month on the first and third Thursday from 3:45 -5:00PM. This club begins February 6 and runs through the month of May.
Our 4-8 grade Choir is a fun and intenional opportunity for students who are passionate about singing. Students meet before school at 8:00 AM on Wednesdays. All choir students perform in the Winter Concert.
If we have enough interest, we will start our first LUA Lego League in the Fall of 2020. Please email through the link below to express interest.
FIRST LEGO League challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. Teams will choose and solve a real-world problem in the Project. They will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the FIRST signature set of Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism®.
